IP remains the same: "128.153.28.32" If anyone has had any luck in contacting this address via FTP let me know via E-mail so that I can try to find a local solution. Thanks. Sorry for the confusion. It turned out that, in order to keep the name grape.ecs.clarkson.edu, we had to use a different solution than the usual one of making a CNAME record. My fault. Here's the straight poop: 1) Forget tsc.erc.clarkson.edu 2) Grape.ecs.clarkson.edu is now 128.153.28.129 3) Grape's phone number is *temporarily* at x3791 until we can get (315)268-6667 moved/forwarded. Always call x6667 first -- if it doesn't answer, then call x3791. After we get 6667 reconnected to grape, 3791 will get re-connected to a modem on an unrelated machine. 4) We've got a PC at grape.ecs's old IP address that points to the new IP address, for the benefit of people who aren't using the domain name system. The advantage of all this is that grape is now in our computing center's machine room, which is attended from 700 through 2300 EST every day. So, if it crashes just after I leave work, it won't have to wait for the next morning to be rebooted... -- --russ I'm proud to be a humble Quaker.
