Here is the README. This program tries to recreate the functionality provided by the PC program GRASPRT.EXE. It plays animation files which usually have the extension .GL. This file format is partially described by the documents found in the file "docs". It has many missing features, but it is complete enough to view a large percentage of the GL files that I have seen. Some of the problems are outlined below... Doesn't work with BLOAD/BSAVE images, or .SET fonts. Doesn't do transparencies. Doesn't load 2 bit images. Doesn't have a default font for gls that dont load their own. Doesn't have a default colormap for each "video" mode. It is not clear where the origin of the coordinate system is... from examples, I have assumed it is in the lower left corner increasing up and right as in PostScript... this make most of my test cases work, but there are still the odd few which make it seem like it should be in the upper left as in X11. So until this gets resolved, don't be surprised to see images getting animated off the edge of the window. I have created a mailing list for discussion about this software... xgrasp@wind.eng.sun.com, if you wish to be added to this list please send mail to xgrasp-request@wind.eng.sun.com. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Patrick J.
