Perhaps this is not the place for this; however, I need the encryption 
for a database, so...
I would like to know where I can get the encryption algorithm that is 
used on UNIX passwords, so that I may encrypt passwords in a database 
program I am working on.  
Also, how long is this encryption going to take on an 286 @ 12 MHz?
