Message-ID: <2644@inews.intel.com> Date: 21 Feb 91 19:29:38 GMT Sender: news@inews.intel.com Reply-To: kseshadr@quasar.intel.com () Organization: Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, California Lines: 29 I'm trying to get a uucp connection working, using a Microvax II GPX running Ultrix 4.1 and a Telebit Trailblazer Plus modem. My uucico connects to the other site with no problems, goes through the entire exchange but then has problems closing the connection. It seems to take a few minutes for uucp to actually figure out that the connection is no longer up. When I start up uucico after about a minute, it still attempts to send an OO to the remote system. I suspect that there may be a problem with the DTR, DSR, DCD asserts from the Telebit. I'm interested in seeing what people are using for S51, S52, S53, S54 and S58 values (and any others that may have some bearing on this problem..). The first uucico also gives me a "fopen of /usr/spool/uucp/LCK.LSTAT failed" error message just before sending the OO, and attempting to close the ACU. My field service guy from Digital has suggested that it may be a problem with trying to use the tty device as a shared line, and that some terminal controllers may not be capable of supporting this feature. I'd appreciate any inputs...
