It is evident that the on/off switching of CRT's shortens their lifespan. It it also evident that keeping them switched on (but dimmed when not in use) shortens their lifespan. 3) Which of the two options maximizes the lifespan? 4) If the second option results in the longest lifespan, is it worth the power used by the CRT?
