I'm having a problem producing multiple plots on a page.

I set !p.multi = [0,1,2,0,0] and expext to get one column of two
plots filling the page.  However only the top section (approx half)
of the page is used.  If I switch to lanscape mode then everything seems
OK , except that the plots are the wrong shape (well not the one I wnat
anyway).

This is for IDL v2.014, VMS 5.4-1 with ps output.  Does anyone know waht 
, probably tricial, thing I'm doing wrong?
