I have found out (from Syd) that patch 11 fixes the alias problem and I have ftp'd it. However, I need a program called patch. There does seem to be some kind of public patch on my machine, but when I tried to use it, it either did nothing, or was working very slowly. Syd says that it should work very quickly so I assume that the patch that is here is the wrong one. Now, I admit that I deleted a lot of stuff that came with Elm. However, I don't think I deleted any programs. If everyone is absolutely sure that a patch program comes with Elm, then I guess I did. I will try re-ftp-ing it tonight and see if it's there. In the meantime, I have the patch and can't do anything with it. (Ack!) Anyway, thanks to all you have replied to me. I appreciate the speedy service! Gail Send mail to: ggurman@cory.Berkeley.EDU
