Looks as if someone who didn't understand what he was doing has been modifying your 'sendmail.cf' It is very difficult to tell what is the problem. The information is too confused. We have 'system1', 'system2', 'oss753', 'Soaf1', 'mailhost' as apparently 5 different names for two systems. Which is which? Hey, folks! If you write asking for assistance with problems, provide verbatim messages. Don't half conceal some of the names. So what if everyone knows the name of one of your hosts - what's the big deal. If you ever get the email working your host names will be displayed on the 'Received:' and 'Message-ID:' headers. If you really want privacy, forget email, write anonymous letters and stick a postage stamp on them. If you want email help provide the information necessary. -- =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Neil W. Rickert, Computer Science Northern Illinois Univ.
