Since no one responded to my original posting, I'll rephrase
my question:

What code resides at pc = 0x0060:0x00000A70 in off-the-shelf
Minix 1.5 for IBM?  On my machine, 1.5 panics with a non-maskable
interrupt at that address, after pressing `=' (or `u') at the
menu.  (It is in the tty driver, I think, since it states
`process number -9' before giving the pc.)
