I'm looking for a book for a friend.


Any recommendations for a beginner's book that would:

    1.  Introduce basic concepts, such as: what is a cpu, disk, port, etc.

    2.  Teach fundamental msdos commands in a friendly, systematic way.



As an alternative, I'll take two books (one for each of the above items.)
