We will be supplying time service to both our various in-house LANs and other WAN/LAN segments. Our site contains the Internet gateway (CISCO) so we will be running the higher stratum clocks. I purchased a rack mounted clock from Traconex along with a "real" external antenna. The majority of my network are SPARCstations and SPARCservers. There are some Pyramids, Ultrix boxes, Tandems, and 386 Unixes that will also be served by the whole shooting match. I have a choice of either a microVax with Ultrix or a big Sun 490 with SunOS 4.1.1 as attachment points for the clock. I am looking for some practical advice as to the which should be used. I would appreciate e-mail with suggestions. Thanks. //Andy Liwen -- Andrew B.
