An extract from /pc/ts/tsfaq17.arc (available by anonymous ftp from our site). 11. ***** Q: Where can I find Unix sources for .arc, .lzh, .zoo, and .zip file compression. A: You can find Unix arc, lharc, zoo, and UNzip packages in the /unix/ts directory at the anonymous ftp site garbo.uwasa.fi. The instructions for processing these unix packages are in /unix/ts/0news-u. Note that there is no zip packing yet for Unix, only zip unpacking. Many users have also inquired about the source code for making .zip files, but I don't think PkWare has released this information. Work is, however, under way for a zip for Unix. ...................................................................
