Hello You All:

I am currently seeking the following. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

High end OCR techniques to convert bit mapped images into ASCII
The system must be able to recognize accented characters as well
as many different types of font styles. Please indicate the 
best type of scanner for this purpose and hardware to do the OCR
conversions for high volume applications.

In addition what are the best fulltext packages out there 
to handle the indexing of the converted documents. Package should 
run under UNIX.
