Hi Thad, I sumbitted the Telebit solution because that was the only one I was aware of. I had seen the \M and ,M parts of the Devices files, but didn't know what they were for. Apparently the difference between the Ver. 2 dialout processes and the HDB ones is that the newer ones don't open the port with CLOCAL set anymore (unless you tell them to)...
