Message-ID: <2931@gould.doc.ic.ac.uk> Date: 21 Feb 91 11:42:54 GMT Sender: news@doc.ic.ac.uk Organization: Dept. of Computing, Imperial College, London, UK. Lines: 17 I have a CSA-Mega Midget Racer, 68030/68882 + 2Mb 32-bit RAM. I'm trying to 'tweak' my system to get the most from it, and I wonder if any of you guys out there can help... What exactly is burst mode? I don't appear to get any benefit by enabling it. Are there any problems with enabling the Data cache? I have been warned against it because of problems with device drivers, but I have had no problems as yet with my A590 + 50Mb SCSI drive. What is the trick to auto-config memory? My board Addmems it to recognise it, but are there any real reasons why it isn't auto-config. It would be far better if it was. Thanks for any help, Phil
