The machine works fine with one exception. the audio is trashed somehow. It is all garbled, barely audible with a low humming noise all the time. I put the old supply back on and it works fine, so I didn't damage anything, although that's not much consolation. I suspect it has something to do with grounding, but I can't figure what. If you changed your supply Email me and tell me how you separated the two grounds on the 500 (shield and signal) the funny thing is my old supply only had 4 cables the pin for shield ground wasn't even connected to anything.?? If you have any helpfull ideas please drop me a line!
