That's ok for an normal SM124. Mine (build in 1985) does the same. Some of the newer SM124 (with the Atari logo painted on the front) should be able to show up to 704x480, but they're rare. >In the overscan docs, it mentions that it is possible to overscan approx. >800x600 (I think) on a well adjusted monochrome monitor or a multisync. Did you have the old overscan (hyperscreen) with that manual switch or the new "Autoswitch-Overscan" (AS-OS) which automatically change the solution? There is a nice solution-table in the well written AS-OS dox. 800x600 isn't mentioned there. The maximum for monochrome monitors should be 752x480 on NEC Multisync GS or a good TVM MG11. Maybe some 816x280 on color monitors (mid solution) but I don't think many use that. >Does anyone know what adjustments have to be made to the monitor to do this? You can move the picture or make it a little bit brighter but if you have left the SM124 in original state, you couldn't get more solutions by internal adjustments. I've tried it. 8-) And beware, that things inside could kill you. > I was also wondering if anyone has seen or knows anything about >the Reflex graphics board for the Mega's. Never heard of that here in Germany. There's a card for Megas called "Megascreen" which make a little bit more in monochrome than AS-OS. But you need a Mega (don't have one) and a mulitsync (also missed) to use it. AS-OS works with every ST (except STE and TT), every monitor and have the better software, i think. cu, Volkmar -- Volkmar Wieners Uucp: ...uunet!unido!quando!wieners Dortmund Eunet: wieners@quando.quantum.de FRG Fidonet: 2:241/5800.5 Mausnet: DO
