Message-ID: Date: 26 Feb 91 05:21:32 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnicolor Torturetute, Troy, NY Lines: 36 Nntp-Posting-Host: iear.arts.rpi.edu Due to a minor mishap while doing a little creative rewiring I have done a number on my 6300. As a result I would like to get as much technical info on the machine as possible. If someone out there has schematics and other such detailed info that they could duplicate and send I would happily pay whatever postage is incurred. Here's what I did: I got hold of an AT&T 101 key keyboard that I really liked. Ot didn't work on the 6300, of course, but I bulled on ahead without stopping to find anything smart like the pinouts and modified it. Now the poor machine doesn't recognize any keyboard at all, including the original (which shoudl be fine, as I didn't mess with it). It boots up just fine but I get no keyboard lights or response. My guess is that I shorted and blew the keyboard controller chip. Unfortunately I need more info before I can work on it -- I won't make the same mistake twice. It would cost me an arm and a leg and probably the other arm for good measure to have a dealer to even give it a casual glance, and dealers are usually unwilling or unable to give me the info I need to do it msyelf. I kind of liked the old monster, so I'd like to make it fly again. As I say, I will be happy to pay postage for any useful info I can get. Thanks... Chris Oh, and the pinouts to that stupid keyboard would be appreciated. :-) I still like it better than the one I have. -- ---------- If you cut here you'd probably ruin your monitor ------------- Christopher A.
