It dies with the following error: X Toolkit Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-MENU-MEDIUM-R-Normal--*-120-*-*-P-* -ISO8859-1" to type FontList, using fixed font X Error event received: BadName - font or color name does not exist Request Major op code 45 Request Minor op code 0 ResourceID 0x40001d Serial number of request 76 Current serial number 77 Can't open font -*-Menu-Medium-R-Normal--*-120-*-*-P-*-ISO8859-1 I have a fonts.alias file with the line (wrapped for readability): -"Bigelow & Holmes"-Menu-Medium-R-Normal--12-120-75-75-P-70-ISO8859-1 -Adobe-Helvetica-Bold-R-Normal--12-120-75-75-P-70-ISO8859-1 It is in my MacX fonts folder, and I have rebuilt the font directory.
