The 8088-based computer, bundled with a bare-bones version of 1-2-3, Release 2.2, comes with 512K standard, expandable to 1 megabyte, and a 16-line-by-40-character screen. "The software is basically hardwired into ROM. And when you use it you don't have to hit 'cd backslash'--you just hit a button and [1-2-3] is there," said one analyst.
