I have a microlab 386sx-16 with a mathcopro (norton si reports it a a 80287 when I know it should be a 80387sx-16,Why ??), game port, 65 meg hard drive, 2 meg memory, and a GTK super vga card. I belive this card is setup to emulate a Paradise Vga card. The problem started when I noticed that my vga card only had 256k of memory when it was supposed to have 512k. Microlab shipped the correct chips (I called tech support and verified this) but when I installed them the board refuses to recgonize the addtional memory. The manual is sketchy at best and says that the card will automaticlly know that it has 512 on board. If I run Norton Si it identifies the card as "Enhanced graphics, 256k". I can configure windows 3.0 to 640X480, 256 colors but when I do any thing it with it the computer locks up. If I choose just standard vga mode for windows everything runs fine. So right know I'm lost. I could pull the card and send it back to Microlab for them to test but that would leave me with out a pc for a week or so. If any body has any advice please post or e-mail to me. cgaeth@amsaa-cleo.brl.mil
