Message-ID: <$22-%2C@rpi.edu> Date: 26 Feb 91 22:43:52 GMT Sender: spierk@cs.rpi.edu Distribution: na Organization: Rensselaer Computer Science, Troy NY Lines: 13 Nntp-Posting-Host: cs.rpi.edu I have an Epson floppy drive that I got mail order (no doc)with a model number of SMD-300 (part number indicates it is actually an SMD-340). Does anyone know if this is a 1.44MB drive or a 720KB drive? It seems to be willing to format 720KB floppies (no notch hole) at 1.44MB which I thought was not possible. Is this because the floppy is setup (in CMOS) as being 1.44MB. Is this drive screwed up? I have to go get some high density 3.5s and try but I am curious if someone out there knows via the model #. Thanks and please e-mail directly to me since this is probably a low interest question. Kevin
