I happened to go to Radio Shack today to find out the same thing: 25male to 9female is not in their catalog! I needed it for a mouse so I cut off the old plug and replaced it, but it must be very irritating for a notebook/modem combination not to get the correct adapter. I want to buy a 2400 baud portable modem myself. mnp4,mnp5, hayes compatibility seems to be what I want - and yes, 9 pin female plug! Any comments on pros/cons of brands gratefully accepted. Are there any nice fax/modem combinations that fit the bill? Price < 200$ if possible...
