There are several things you can try to solve the problem. do these for sure: Check for virus (with a recent/updated virus program) rebuild your desktop throw away the Word settings file in the system folder (I'd throw away setting first, but would do all three) these wouldn't be a bad idea: upgrade to system 6.0.5 or better reinstall the Word program, yours may be corrupted check your version of Word (theres a 4.0b available, though we are still on 4.0 here and have no problems) is this happening mostly when accessing fonts? maybe you have font numbering conflicts - if so, try harmonizing them. by the way, if someone typed 10 pages without ever saving they deserved to lose it.
