Lines: 17 I need to be able to connect my Mac (SE/30) over the phone to another mac, and remotely access that Mac (menus etc). Apparently Timbuktu remote or Carbon Copy Mac will do that, but need 9600 modems (v expensive). I would rather buy 2400 modems with MNP5 compression - how would that compare ? Would it work ? Any suggestions on which package would be best ? BTW - how would I see the remote screen ? - does it redirect the QD to the top window to me as well ? If so, wouldn't this be VERY slow ? One last thing - If I bought a modem in the states, apart from the power supply being different - would it work on UK phone lines ? (Yes, I know the diff. between pulse and tone, but I want to know if there are electrical level differences). Jeremy Doig (jcd2@uk.ac.ukc.harrier)
