Nice bit of marketing Apple! :-( He's also been given an ancient Epson FX-80 printer. So the question is, how can he connect them up? What cable? What software? I believe the FX-80 has a parallel port (haven't seen it myself -- do these beasts have only one port, or do they have both serial & parallel ports as standard?). I've heard of the commercial 'Grappler' thingymujig, but what we've got in mind here is something *free* or *cheap*, using an off-the-shelf cable, if possible. Hundreds of you must have done this!
