My Mac participates in Usenet, and so is left on all the time. Because the
monitor (a 2-page) consumes a fair amt of power (judging from the heat it puts
out), I have taken to turning this off overnight. Is there any harm in doing
this? My video card went belly-up recently, and I wonder if I've contributed to
this, or if it is just a coincidence.
