Lines: 25 Regarding the slowness of HyperCard which has been the subject of some mailings lately... Is there a way to turn of the automatic saving of HC2.0 while ones script is running? I notice that while my current stack is reading and changing fields in a few other stacks the hard disk is almost continuously going, needless to say the scripts are very slow. Of particular concern is that I am running a Mac IIci, when I distribute my stack to people with more humble machines possibly with slower harddisks will the stack be intolerably slow? It seems to me that a command to stop autometic saving until the end of the script would be very useful. ==================================================================== From: pdbourke@ccu1.aukuni.ac.nz AppleLink: NZ0028 Postage: P.D.Bourke Architecture School, Auckland University Private Bag Auckland New Zealand PH: NZ (09) 737 999 x7367 Fax: NZ (09) 366 4665 ====================================================================
