I have used a Microtek MSF-300Z scanner, and think highly of it. Until I saw ads for the LaCie Silverscanner, I thought the Microtek was pretty much THE color-300-dpi-flat-bed scanner for ~$2000. Unfortunatly the LaCie ad (running in MacUser and MacWorld) totes no specs or hard numbers, just shows scans done on the Microtek & Silver scan on "normal" settings. Of course, the MicroTek scan was dark and brownish and the Silverscanner looks perfect. I hate hype... WHAT I would like to know, is any one out there using a LaCie Silverscanner? Have you used a MicroTek before? Any comparisons? Any information would be greatly apprechiated. Please respond by Email: tn0o+@andrew.cmu.edu Thanks in advance -Tom
