Thanks to all of you who made me aware of the command line options to
Terminal and to the dwrite command.  That solved my problem.  Since my
office machine is SysV, I had to create a terminfo and termcap entry for
something I called a vt100-43.  This worked.

I appreciate your restraint in avoiding the dreaded RTFM word.  Like you
my first reaction to a question like this is, "Did you read the manual."
I didn't.  I got sandbagged by the "intuitive" nature of the GUI and
assumed, since there wasn't a preference menu item for Terminal there
wasn't any way to do what I wanted to do.  Oh, well.

I have to say, this really works great!  I have a nice large 14pt type
which my tired old eyes can take in with ease and a full 43 lines to
handle the entire scope of my application.  In fact, this is easier to
read than the Wyse 60!
