I have hooked one to my NeXTStation, via the DSP port, and can run the glove in the infamous raw mode. This means that the glove gives 8 bit x, y, and z information back to the NeXT. It also passes back roll and 2 bits of information on each finger (no little finger). Right now, I have a class, in a library, and a snd file (DSP program) that users can play with to try and write programs that use the glove. I also have a hacked version of PaintLab that allows users to point their hand to paint, click their thumb to erase and click their index finger to change brush size. The hookup requires an adapter cable and external power supply (5 or 6V). Anyone seriously interested, should email me here. Source code to the class and snd file won't be avail initially because I'm still trying to figure out what it should look like. -- Joe Freeman jfreem@uncecs.edu The opinions espressed here are my own and are not shared by my employer or anyone else I know of.
