Some may recall my post about SIMMs and subsequent repost of where I
decided to buy them.  Here's the story:

I bought 4x4Mb low profile, vertically mounted 80ns SIMMs from
Peripheral Outlet, for a grand total of $779.  They arrived in 3 days
(woulda been two, but I ordered late that day).  There were only 2
other places (that I knew of) that were cheaper, Chip Merchant and
Micro Electronic Technoligies.  They cost $179 vs $192, although I
called one of them back a few days later, and they cost $182.  Neither
of them could tell me if their SIMMs were vertically mounted and/or
would fit in the NeXT (I think MET said they wouldn't).  I figured the
extra money was worth it.  I ripped apart the Cube, and slapped them
in.  These chips are the SAME size as the NeXT ones so there is no
problem whatsoever with clearance at all.  I put the Cube back
together again, powered up, and things work perfect!  So if you are
looking for 4Mb SIMMs, and don't want to go thru any hassle:
