Message-ID: <10920@jarthur.Claremont.EDU> Date: 21 Feb 91 22:43:10 GMT Organization: Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA 91711 Lines: 22 Help! Our \public directory has just completely disappeared from a normal dir command given at DOS. It also does not appear when using filer. I can change directory into it, and back out, but very few things will work inside it. Flagdir can't find the directory (something like sys:public unknown directory). Grant, revoke and remove all three die as well. I can (and did) copy the files out of the directory, then tried to remove it. Rd will not let me remove the directory. (The standard invalid directory, directory not empty... error). Nothing else seems to be affected, but we're a little worried. Any help would be appreciated! (I'm trying to do this from a supervisor equivalent account). We're running revision E of ipx and xmsnet4, and are running Novell SFT 2.15C software. We're connected via token-ring, and are using a PS/70 for the file server. A standard 55 meg drive. Again, any advice would be appreciated. -Jeff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Jeff Jensen at HARVEY MUDD COLLEGE | We're pretending to see | | jjensen@jarthur.claremont.edu | what the future will | | jjensen@hmcvax.bitnet ...!uunet!jarthur!jjensen | hold -OMD | Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
