Message-ID: <3457.27ca9cfd@iccgcc.decnet.ab.com> Date: 26 Feb 91 22:38:05 GMT Lines: 18 We have been using Advanced NETWARE 2.15 C with OS/2 Extended Edition rev 1.2 with relatively few problems however our system is complicated by the need for users to access some of the programs that come with the RACAL/INTERLAN TCP/IP Gateway product. The gateway is installed and actively providing TCP/IP access to NOVELL from the outside and providing DOS users tied into the NOVELL system with TELNET and FTP access to other systems. We have a situation where we want to run a TCP/IP program in the OS/2 DOS box that requires NETBIOS & IPX. The program runs without trouble in standard DOS but under OS/2's DOS BOX, the NETBIOS program complains about the lack of IPX (even though it is actually loaded at OS/2 boot time via the config.sys file). Loading the IPX program in the OS/2 DOS BOX causes a conflict with existing OS/2 owned interrupts and OS/2 complains. Are there any wise old owls out there that can offer some insight about either a NETBIOS or IPX workaround that would permit us to properly load IPX and NETBIOS into the OS/2 DOS BOX for the gateway software?
