I too had the same problem, and discovered an old LOGIN in the root directory of my hard drive. (Big ah ha). I can confirm that this is what causes that problem. Be sure to search all your paths (or use FF from norton) to discover the location of any old login.* programs, especially if your autoexec relies on a path to find it, rather than "going to" the drive login is on.
