Version 9.1 of our Router software is ready for distribution to the
field.  This version provides the following enhancements:

p4100
        OSPF Ver.2
        T1
        X.25
        Apollo
p4200
        OSPF Ver.2
        Boot over FDDI
        Fast Path FDDI
        New Ethernet Driver
        AppleTalk over FDDI

We encourage our customers to take full advantage of the 
power and flexibility of our Version 9.1 router product; 
however you may need to upgrade your CPU, memory or Watchdog 
Timer.  p4100+ routers require 2 megabytes of memory and a 
watchdog timer, part number 12-343550-00.  p4200 routers will 
require 1 megabyte of memory.  In addition, for the p4200, 
some combinations of protocols under Version 9.1 will require 
a 1 Mbyte Integrated Boot Device (IBD), rather than a 
1/2 Mbyte IBD.  Any router with 4 or more protocols will 
require a 1 Mbyte IBD.

Proteon customers who have router software included in the
coverage of a Proteon Maintenace Agreement will receive the
upgrade free of charge. Other customers will need to provide a
purchase order for the upgrade.  For more information contact
