He does have a local teenager in town who knows how to open the box for them. So I'm looking for inexpensive ways to make life there more interesting: the Tandy 286 upgrade is no longer available (requires a daughterboard that's not made any longer). I'd like to be able to get a 720 K floppy and /or a 'hard card' disk by mail order, get'em shipped to them and have good luck plugging them in. Any thoughts/recommendations appreciated. Oh, also, recommendations for a modem for them? Life will be easier once I get them online. I can put a few hundred dollars into this machine, to tide them over til I can send them a used Mac or my old IBM-AT or something in a year or two. Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
