I seem to be getting hyphenation patterns that did not exist under the old TeX that we were using (don't know its vintage). Things like the s in chemicals is hyphenated to give chemical- s. This occurs in the main text and also in section headings. Now I seem to recall that there was a problem with the hypenation table or whatever. Has any one any ideas on this trivial but very anoying problem. Thanks in advance. Tony Scott ascott@gara.une.oz.au Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
