The subject says most of it.  I have just started working with AWK.
The docs for GAWK mention that POSIX may be modifying regular
expressions slightly, and I was curious as to when this may or may
not be "final," as well as what sort of changes are being considered.
I do not use UNIX much, so am not too familar with the POSIX
committee or their proposed standards.
