Although it works, a few items are unresolved. These are: 1. What is the use of ALTSHELL= and CONSOLE= in /etc/default/login? What action should login take with these parameters? 2. What special action (if any) should be taken if the login shell is /usr/lib/uucico? For example, should login set the uid/gid to uucp/uucp? 3. A 'strings' on the AT&T login indicates that files /etc/dialups and /etc/d_passwd might be referenced. What are these used for?
