It's a little strange to see backup refer to a 140mb floppy though. Evidently, the driver fails to read the media size from the tape drive, and this kludge works. -jim Oh yeah, I like erct0 rather that rct0. I think the ecc might save me when the tape head is a little dirty, or the tape is crummy. ecc does use some space though.
