The x & y XSizeHints cause the funky window size behaviour. this is also needed to make twm stop being an idiot about moving the window progressively down the screen... the width & height stuff is completely ignored... The max_width & max_height are to make my 3D effects look decent. I am changing those and they should be okay soon. I tried XSetNormalHints...
