Has anyone ever heard of this beast, know if it can still be obtained,  and
also possibly if there is a way to get a book on it?

I unfortunately have to get something running under Turbo C that uses
many _function() type calls that are dependent on the DeSmet compiler
(which I have never heard of)  This is for a prototype, so I would rather
 just modify the code than start over.
