I am running 18.55 on VAX/VMS 5.4-1.  I have some rather large files that I
need to edit.  What do I need to change to avoid the "Memory Exhausted" 
message.  The size is about 50,000 blocks.  Record length varies from file
to file (745 bytes to 1200 bytes).
