Many thanks to Anoosh Hosseini who pointed me in the direction of an
old X font called krivo.snf.  So far, this is the only response I've
gotten and the font may be a bit large for my needs.  Meanwhile, I'm
still interested in hearing of other X compatible Arabic fonts that
may be available.  Does anybody know of commercial fonts from vendors
such Adobe, Xerox, etc?
