Considering the number of postings withing the news group 
it may be wise to establish a number of sub-topics.
Things like -- program optimization
            -- language usage
            -- standard libraries
            -- compiler controls
It certainly would make locating new problems, and issues a bit easier.

Secondly there apears to be an issue of improper posting to groups.
Perhaps there are subject guidelines somewhere.
