If I define the serial port to which the mouse is attached as com1, and use the PC mouse (PCMOU$01) driver, I get a useable mouse under OS/2. However, when I go to the DOS box and fire up Windows (3.0), the mouse is unusable. Also, there's an error message during boot; as OS/2 reads the line in Config.sys "Device= c:/path/com01.sys" (the one that loads the serial port driver for DOS), it says that it can't open com1, because it's either not available or in use by another device. (This line is after the lines in Config.sys that load the mouse driver). Can anybody suggest a fix to this problem?
