Lines: 13 Originator: km@cadre.dsl.pitt.edu Nntp-Posting-Host: cadre.dsl.pitt.edu I am trying to connect a Wangtek 5099EN24 drive with Emulex MT02 controller to a 386 machine with Adaptec 1540A running ISC Unix 2.0.2. I have no manuals for the tape drive or Emulex controller (naturally) but know how to set the SCSI unit number on the MT02. ISC is properly configured. It appears that the MT02 does not respond to an inquiry command, so the init routines do not notice there is a tape device on the scsi bus, and don't put an entry in the scsi configuration tables for the driver. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has previously tackled this problem (I don't like to reinvent the wheel) or has experience with this drive/controller combination.
