You can telnet into the OS/2 machine, as long as you don't run any PM applications at which point the session gets stuck, and as long as you don't need a mouse it works. There are lots of small restrictions, such as if you "exit" the shell instead of "logoff", the connection hangs and you must be a vt100 or ansi terminal. PM over telnet would be impossible. I would be interested in knowing if Microsoft or anyone else has a product that allows remote PM sessions. It would bring the functionality closer to X. Joe Herman U. of Maryland
