For some reason,
even though they are set up so as to be identifiable by "file",
font files for the UNIX PC are not identified in the /etc/magic file.
At least, not in MY /etc/magic file.
At any rate,
you can now add these two tested entries to your /etc/magic file,
and then your system can figure out font files too!

0	string		# magic 0x18e	ASCII font file
2	short		0x18e		UNIXPC font
